TodoMato
Privacy Policy
Effective 24 September 2026
TodoMato does not currently collect personal data. What you write is stored on your device. The one exception is voice input, where what you say leaves the device — that single case is described below.
What we collect
At present this app does not collect or ask for personal information — no name, email, phone number, location, or advertising identifier. Using the app does not require an account.
Where your data lives
Your tasks, tags, focus records, settings, profile name and picture are stored on your device. At present none of it is transmitted anywhere, and the developer cannot see it.
What we share
At present the app contains no analytics or advertising tools, and no information is shared with or sold to third parties. Your tasks and focus records never leave the device. The only place the app reaches the internet is voice input, described below.
Voice input (microphone)
You can add a task by speaking. The microphone is open only while voice input is running. It closes on its own when you finish, and you can stop it yourself. Your device asks for permission the first time; if you decline, only this feature stops working.
Voice input — where your speech goes
What you say leaves your device. Turning speech into text is handled by Apple on iPhone and by Google on Android. Audio or text may be sent to and processed by those companies’ servers, where their privacy policies apply. TodoMato never receives or stores that audio. Only the resulting text goes into the task field, and it stays on your device like any other task. If you never use voice input, the app does not connect to the internet.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled on the device itself. No information leaves your device for notifications.
Reading your calendar
If you choose to, events from your device calendar (the iPhone Calendar and any Google account connected to it) can be shown alongside your own in the app’s calendar. This is off by default, and your device asks for permission when you turn it on. You can turn it off again at any time in Settings.
The app only reads those events. It never writes, edits or deletes anything in your calendar. What it reads is used to draw the screen and nothing more — it is not stored separately and never leaves your device.
Links you add
You can attach a web address to a task or to one of its steps. Like everything else, that address is stored on your device only.
Tapping it hands the address to your device’s browser. The app itself never connects to that address or fetches anything from it. What happens after the browser takes over is governed by that browser’s and that website’s own policies.
Deleting your data
If you delete the app, the saved data goes with it. There is no backup, so write down anything you want to keep.
Children’s privacy
This app is not directed at children. Since no data is collected at all, no data from children is collected either.
Changes to this policy
What the app handles may change as it grows. If that happens this page is updated along with the effective date above, and if the change means collecting more, you will be told inside the app.
